About family mediation?

Family mediation is a process which can help you resolve any issue or dispute you may be experiencing within your family or following your separation/divorce instead of applying to court. We can support you through the divorce process, help you with any necessary court forms and assist you in deciding how to sort your property and finances out.

Mediation has been proven to be less stressful and significantly cheaper than going to court.

Family mediators are there to assist you in making the best decisions for your future; this can include all child arrangements, family relationships and disputes, parental responsibility, parenting issues and financial matters.

Mediators work in ways that are flexible and tailor-made for your situation.  You do not have to be in the same space as your ex if you or the mediator decide that working with you in separate spaces would be preferable.

Before joint mediation, the mediator will meet you both individually in a Mediation Information and Assessment Meeting (MIAM) to find out more about the issues that need resolving.  They mediator will give you more information about mediation and answer any questions or concerns you have about what happens next.

MIAMs and joint mediation are usually carried out online using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Whats App (MIAMs only).

Face to face mediation is available on request, yet will incur additional charges.

Should you have any further questions, please Contact Us and a mediator will be able to have a brief consultation with you (free of charge).
